§ 6-7. Premises; commercial or residential-professional required.

  • (a)

    Buildings for which alcohol licenses are sought must comply with the building and zoning ordinances of the city; regulations of the state revenue commissioner and the laws of the state.

    (b)

    For retail consumption licenses, no license to engage in the sale of alcoholic beverages shall be issued unless the location has been zoned commercial or residential-professional (special events facilities only) under the zoning laws of the city.

    (c)

    For retail package sales licenses for beer, wine and distilled spirits, no license to engage in retail package sales shall be issued unless the location has been zoned commercial.
